Alphabetical List of BWCA Portages
The landing for the Stuart River portage.
PORTAGE RATINGS:
Easy: A flat trail that is wide with good footing all the way. No major obstacles (heavy brush, rocks, fallen timber, etc.)
Average: May be some steep areas, rocky sections and/or wet areas.
Rugged: Lots of steep, overgrown and/or wet sections. Some uncleared blowdown.
Bushwhack: Unmaintained portage or no portage at all.
Portage ratings do not take length of the portage into account, only the difficulty of terrain.
