Portaging Direction: From Cattyman Lake to Jordan Lake
A nice, soft sandy beach here on Cattyman Lake gets you off to a good start for your portage to Jordan Lake.
This portage is 55 rods long and parallels a creek that connects Jordan Lake to Cattyman Lake. The portage is mostly level (slightly uphill). The end of the portage (Jordan Lake end) has some big rocks and a semi-steep rock slope for a portage landing.
The portage leads to this shallow bay of Jordan Lake. From here you paddle out that narrow channel visible to the far left of your view.

Portaging Direction: From Jordan Lake to Cattyman Lake
Except for this rocky landing, this portage is otherwise flat and mostly level. The rocky slope to the right of your view here is steeper than it may appear in this image. When it is dry, it is preferable (for most) to walk up and down the smooth rock face to the right.
The portage starts out with a quick mountain goat-like climb up the rock platform from Jordan Lake. This can be a bit slippery if it is raining or otherwise wet. The portage has a few extra rocks to step over, but otherwise it is flat and roomy making for a simple traverse.
Nearly perfect canoe landing on Cattyman Lake.
