The Portage between Banadad Lake and Rush Lake
Portaging Direction: From Rush Lake to Banadad Lake
Very rocky landing at the mouth of this neat little creek.
This is a short portage, but it certainly isn't the easiest. The landing on the Rush Lake side is at the mouth of a creek and is clogged with lots of boulders. The portage itself is very muddy (some knee deep spots for the unwary). The mud and general wetness of the path seems to be a breeding area for the local mosquitoes. This short portage crosses the Banadad Ski Trail. There is a wooden bridge over the creek that the trail crosses. The portage does not cross the bridge.
The landing on this end of this short portage is better; less rocks.

Portaging Direction: From Banadad Lake to Rush Lake
A few stones and a small log or two in the water, which itself is shallow and easy to stand in.
Fortunately this is a short portage, otherwise it would be rather difficult. Lots of bugs to attack you as you pick your way around knee deep mud that will try its best to suck your boots off if you take a misstep. You will see a small bridge in need of some maintenance that crosses the creek near the middle of the portage. This crossing is for the Banadad Ski Trail that intersects the portage between Banadad Lake and Rush Lake.
Moving water and big rocks here. Makes for tricky footing.
