Portaging Direction: From Fern Lake to French Lake
This shady indent in the shoreline is the landing spot for the French Lake portage from Fern Lake. No issues with the footing or other underwater obstacles. The portage is really easy too. Life is good.
This portage is nothing more than a walk through the woods.
This landing has some boulders in the water that you will have to strategically place your canoe between.

Easy as you please portage.
Shady little inlet on the north end of Fern Lake. Good footing in the water. Lots of mosquitos here too.
