Portaging Direction: From North Hegman Lake to South Hegman Lake

Start of the 5 rod portage from North Hegman Lake to South Hegman Lake. The water isn't deep at the landing, so possible to stand in the water if necessary (April 29, 2016).

The portage is pretty trivial. There is a creek that connects the two lakes close to the trail. Could be worth fishing in the current where the creek rushes in to lake. Landing is rather rocky on the South Hegman Lake side of the portage (July 11, 2023).

Portaging Direction: From South Hegman Lake to North Hegman Lake

North Hegman Lake portage landing is just to the right of the mouth of the small creek (April 29, 2016).

The portage is only 5 rods. The landing on the South Hegman Lake side is a tad tricky as the water is somewhat deep. The landing is fairly rocky (July 11, 2023).
