Portaging Direction: From Karl Lake to Lower George Lake
This portage begins in a small bay on the north end of Karl Lake. As you can see, the landing is a good place to pull up in a canoe.
A short jaunt of 28 rods and you come out of the woods at the south end of Lower George Lake.
Head north up this narrow channel after polishing off this portage. Just to the right of your view the creek from Karl Lake flows into Lower George Lake. The portage landing here is very good.

Portaging Direction: From Lower George Lake to Karl Lake
The start of the portage looks rocky, but it is actually easy to land a canoe. The water is shallow. There is only one "good spot" to stick a canoe (where the canoe is sitting).
Flat and short pretty much sums up this portage.
