Portaging Direction: From the Vern River upstream to the Vern River
Shallow water landing that is well out of the current of the rapids that are nearby. There are a few rocks as you can see here.
Portage is flat and well traveled.
The landing at this end has much deeper water. Seems easiest to land/launch canoe from the left side of this area as you face the river.

The worst part of this portage is the landing on the upstream end of the trail. A small beaver dam is visible here in the center background at the head of the rapids.
Simple portage with a very wide and flat trail.
Some small rocks are the only obstacle here. The water in this little bay is shallow, perhaps ankle deep.
