The Portage between Banadad Lake and Sebeka Lake
Portaging Direction: From Banadad Lake to Sebeka Lake
The rocky landing on the Banadad Lake end of the portage. There is a mudhole that starts near the bow of the canoe (far right of view).
You'll find this portage to have a little bit of everything. There are numerous pits of mud, several elevation changes (this portage crosses the Laurentian Divide) and many rocks and roots to keep you paying attention. The portage seems to be quite buggy also, probably owing somewhat to the boggy conditions.
The landing is much better when you reach Sebeka Lake.

Portaging Direction: From Sebeka Lake to Banadad Lake
This landing is better than you might expect for such a remote lake on a relatively untraveled route.
Medium length portage that goes uphill from Sebeka Lake to Banadad Lake. The portage gains 69 feet over its length before reaching Banadad Lake. There are several ups and downs along the route, but it is mostly up. This portage crosses the Laurentian Divide. Expect a lot of muddy spots and many rocks and other obstacles along this portage. It is not an easy one. The portage was inundated with mosquitoes.
There is a mud hole that backs up against this rocky boulder strewn landing. The yellow stuff in the water mixed amongst the boulders is pollen.
