The Portage between Flour Lake and East Bearskin Lake

Portaging Direction: From Flour Lake to East Bearskin Lake

Solid landing at Flour Lake end of the portage.

From Flour Lake the portage heads uphill a short distance until it intersects a cross country skiing trail. You will want to take a right turn here. A short distance further, the ski trail splits off to the right, while the portage continues towards East Bearskin Lake. The portage is otherwise very flat and simple to follow.

Moderately rocky landing at the East Bearskin Lake end of this portage, but the water is shallow and the lake bottom is fine gravel making it good to stand upon.

Portaging Direction: From East Bearskin Lake to Flour Lake

This is the portage landing on the East Bearskin Lake side.

The portage is relatively flat and easy to follow. Part of the portage also follows a cross country skiing trail. The actual portage makes a sharp turn to the left and heads downhill to Flour Lake. The ski trail continues straight on flat ground.
