Portaging from Snowbank Lake to Parent Lake. Find this portage on Snowbank Lake, right in Wilderness Bay next to the aptly named Wilderness Bay Lodge. First part of portage is mildly uphill. Entire route has good footing. The area was heavily affected by recent windstorms, so portage path has relatively light tree cover. The portage is 80 rods long (October 3, 2021).

Somewhat rocky landing, but there is a gap between the rocks that makes for a nice landing spot. The portage loses 21 feet of elevation from Parent Lake to Snowbank Lake (October 3, 2021).
Slightly downhill overall. The portage is exposed to sunlight for much of its length because recent windstorms have knocked down a lot of trees in the area.
