The landing is rocky, but the water is so shallow that the boulders cause little trouble (October 3, 2021).
This portage is uphill in this direction. It's a mild incline, but steady along nearly the entire portage. You will gain 57 feet in elevation portaging from Snowbank Lake to Disappointment Lake. The portage trail is more exposed to sunlight than it was in the past due to recent windstorms. The path is very well worn and the footing is good. This portage intersects the Snowbank Lake Trail just before it reaches the shoreline of Disappointment Lake.

The portage is noticeably easier in this direct as it is almost all downhill. Trail is heavily used and easy to walk.
