The Portage between Snowbank Lake and Flash Lake
Portaging Direction: From Snowbank Lake to Flash Lake
The portage climbs slowly but steadily up a small hill from the nice landing. Occasionally wet in this area, especially in the spring. About one-third the distance across the portage, encounter the intersection with the Snowbank Lake Trail. Continue uphill past the trail. After topping out, it's a gradual descent to Flash Lake where you'll find a good landing.

Portaging Direction: From Flash Lake to Snowbank Lake
The portage runs up a small hill and then descends down to Snowbank Lake. The portage overall loses elevation in this direction so it is a bit easier. Portage can be wet in places as you approach the Snowbank Lake end of it. About two-thirds the way across the portage intersects the Snowbank Lake Hiking Trail.
