Portaging Direction: From Caribou Lake to Little Caribou Lake

Fairly good landing. The remains of an old rock crib is visible just offshore. The rock crib was used as the base of a dock.

The portage is not difficult. It is mostly flat and also at 25 rods or so, quite short.

This is an easy, flat portage. A creek runs along the south side of the portage between the two lakes.

The landing at Caribou Lake. There is a nice view of the lake here. Also, there is a rock crib that is just offshore. Relic of a bygone era. Rock cribs are used as a simple support for a dock or sometimes other structures.
