Portaging Direction: From Caribou Lake to Deer Lake

Moderately rocky landing at the Caribou Lake end of this portage.

Portage heads up a hill from Caribou Lake. As you reach the top of the incline, the portage joins the Deer Lake to Clearwater Lake portage. You'll want to head left here and follow this portage the remaining distance to Deer Lake.

Great landing on Deer Lake. Note that this portage landing is right next to the only campsite on Deer Lake.

Portaging Direction: From Deer Lake to Caribou Lake

Easy boat landing on Deer Lake.

This portage starts right next to the only campsite on Deer Lake. The portage to Caribou Lake is the same as the portage to Clearwater Lake until you reach the Deer Lake turnoff on your right. Once you take the turn, the trail down to Caribou Lake descends fairly quickly. You soon find yourself at a rocky landing on Caribou Lake.
