Portaging Direction: From South Kawishiwi River to BWCA Entry Point 32
A sandy canoe landing and shallow water to start the 147 rod portage up to the entry point parking lot (August 5, 2016).
The portage is modestly uphill gaining perhaps 40 feet over nearly a half mile. The portage trail has a few minor obstacles, like blowdown, some mud and a few rocks (May 13, 2023).

The portage ends right on the edge of the road near the white car on the left. There are two parking lots at this entry point. The portage starts in the smaller of the two lots. As the sign on the right indicates, the Little Gabbro Lake entry point is a couple more miles down the road (August 5, 2016).
