Another portage of 95 rods from Lake Polly through the 2011 Pagami Creek Fire area. The start of the portage at Lake Polly involves a quick elevation gain as you leave the lake. You soon pass into the burnt area. The rest of the portage is level. The canoe landing at Townline Lake is on a log boardwalk that can be slippery with water, algae and mud.
At the end of the log boardwalk, you have this narrow finger of water to paddle through to get out into the main part of Townline Lake.
