The Portage between Baker Lake and Peterson Lake
Portaging Direction: From Baker Lake to Peterson Lake
This portage is easy if water levels are normal or high. But if water levels are low, you will often have to do the portage shown in this video, plus an additional short paddle up the Temperance River and then another extra portage along the river bed to Peterson Lake (last part is not shown in this video). To see this last section, check out the first six and a half minutes of this video.

Portaging Direction: From Peterson Lake to Baker Lake
The amount of difficulty going from Peterson Lake to Baker Lake greatly depends on how much water is in the Temperance River (it flows from Peterson Lake to Baker Lake). If water is high, then the portage shown in this video is all you need to do. If the water is low, you must do another portage before doing the portage shown in the video above. The low water portage can be seen in this video starting at the 22:00 mark.
