Portaging Direction: From East Bearskin Lake to Moon Lake

Landing at East Bearskin Lake.

This is a well worn portage trail with few rocks, roots or other obstructions. The portage starts out very flat, until about half way across the portage, you come to a set of wooden stairs. These stairs descend going in this direction. Once down the stairs, the portage is mostly downhill the rest of the way to Moon Lake.

Portaging Direction: From Moon Lake to East Bearskin Lake

Here is the landing at Moon Lake. There are good spots between the boulders to park your boat.

Starting at Moon Lake, the portage climbs modestly until nearly the halfway point. About the middle of the portage, you will come to a flight of wood steps. After ascending the steps, the rest of the portage is very flat. The portage tread is quite smooth, with hardly any rocks or roots to stumble over.

Excellent landing on the East Bearskin Lake side of this portage.
