Portaging Direction: From Confusion Lake to the Kawishiwi River
This portage landing is as nice as you'll find. If the water is lower, the water is too shallow for even a lightly loaded canoes draft, so you will have to walk your boat into shore.
Easy portage. Simple as that.

Easy gravel bar landing spot.
Climbs a small hill gaining minimal elevation.
Head of the rapids where the Kawishiwi River flows out of Confusion Lake.
Some large boulders and knee deep water. Hug the right shore as you leave the portage, especially during high water when the current is strong, as the rapids start just out of sight to your left.
