Portaging Direction: From Bruin Lake to the South Kawishiwi River

Decent landing on Bruin Lake. A minor lift up onto the grassy ledge.

Not much to this portage. Short and flat.

Rather good landing on some flat rock formations. A few underwater boulders to dodge as you paddle out into the lake.

Portaging Direction: From the South Kawishiwi River to Bruin Lake

Lot of places to pull out or put in the canoe. Large landing area on a gently sloping rock slab. There are some boulders underwater offshore, so keep a lookout.

Simple portage. It is flat and well trodden.

Nice landing on Bruin Lake end of the portage. Short one foot drop from ledge into shallow water.
