Portaging Direction: From the Little Indian Sioux River downstream to the Little Indian Sioux River
Flat sandy beachfront landing zone.
Just to the right as you approach the canoe landing is the head of the rapids.
Scenic portage that is generally downhill in this direction which makes it almost a joy. Great views of the rapids along the trail. The path is also in fine condition with few impediments.
Another effortless landing on the downstream end of the portage.
Portaging Direction: From the Little Indian Sioux River upstream to the Little Indian Sioux River
Portage starts with a "flat as a pancake" docking area.
Small waterfall that is easy to view along the portage.
Portage offers a mild climb heading in the upstream direction. There are many pleasant views along this trail, so take your time. Landings on both ends of the portage are near perfect.
