Portaging Direction: From Ahsub Lake to Disappointment Lake
Landing is somewhat rocky, but still and easy place to land your boat (October 3, 2021).
A wide, firm and rocky trail of 25 rods connects the two lakes. Just before reaching Disappointment Lake, the Old Pines Trail intersects the portage (October 3, 2021).

Portaging Direction: From Disappointment Lake to Ahsub Lake
This is the start of the portage from Disappointment Lake to Ahsub Lake. It is 25 rods. It is rocky and does not have a particularly good landing spot on the Disappointment Lake end. Hard not to get wet feet unloading the canoe (July 25, 2015).
Roughly the same view as shown above, but in the Fall (October 3, 2021).
Portage is rocky but easy to walk. It is an up and over; slight uphill from Disappointment Lake and then a slight downhill to Ahsub Lake. Landing at Ahsub Lake is solid. Note that the Old Pines Trail crosses this portage just after it leaves Disappointment Lake (October 3, 2021).
