The Portage between Caribou Lake and Swamp Lake
Portaging Direction: From Caribou Lake to Swamp Lake
A little rocky, but the water isn't deep, so still fairly simple place to land and unload/load the canoe.
This portage is mostly flat with little elevation change. This portage has a few muddy spots. There were lots of bugs. Both landings are somewhat rocky, but nothing too difficult.
Mildly rocky landing on the Swamp Lake side of this portage. This landing is a little worse than the Caribou Lake end of the portage.

Portaging Direction: From Swamp Lake to Caribou Lake
Landing at the Swamp Lake end of the portage. The typical rocks to deal with. Not too bad.
This portage is buggy, a little muddy in spots and mostly flat. There is only two feet of elevation difference between Swamp Lake (1866 feet) and Caribou Lake (1864 feet).
A slightly better landing on the Caribou Lake end of this portage.
