This is the at the start of the 37 rod portage from Rib Lake to Lower George Lake.

A log support lies on the beach (maybe another one out in the water). The log on the beach is still attached to a stone support.

Old Dock 1
You can tell this log isn't positioned here naturally by the way it is embedded into the rock pile right near the middle of your view. The portage landing is also a very well graded beach, so it is probably not a natural feature.
