Honker Lake
Gunflint Ranger District
Seldom visited Honker Lake is a dead end lake accessible over a short, but unmaintained portage from Bingshick Lake.
The entire shoreline of the lake is devoid of old growth forest due to the recent fire of 2004.
According to Minnesota DNR fishery surveys, the lake contains no gamefish. Back in the 1980's the lake did contain a population of stocked brook trout and rainbow trail. The lake now has only a healthy population of white suckers.
Honker Lake drains to the south through a creek into Bingshick Lake. There are no other water connections into the lake.
