BWCA Portage: Ima Lake to Reflection Lake

Portaging from Ima Lake

You're paddling from the bay in the northern part of Ima Lake into the small creek flowing out of Reflection Lake. The next part of this bushwhack, as you peer ahead, involves getting out of the canoe and threading your canoe between many rocks. You hop from rock to rock. The water here is deep and dark, but has too many obstructions to paddle through.

Liftovers and maneuvers around some rocks are necessary. After you clear the rocky section, you paddle through a grass marsh into Reflection Lake.
