The other campsite just to the east is more preferable. The Kekekabic Trail runs right through this campsite, it only comes close to the other campsite on the lake. The campsite is very open because most of the trees were burned by the Cavity Lake Fire in 2004. Canoe landing is very good on a mildly sloped slab of exposed rock. There are two tent pads, but one is rather unpleasant looking. Nice views of Bingshick. The lake contains stocked brook trout.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 1
Canoe landing is top notch.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 2
The kitchen area is out in a wide open grassy area.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 3
Another look at the kitchen with a view towards the lake. The Kekekabic Trail runs along the tall grass line in the background.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 4
The largest and the best tent pad at this campsite.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 5
The smallest and the worst tent pad at this campsite.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 6
This latrine has seen many seasons and many backsides.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 7
View is towards the southwest.

Bingshick Lake Campsite 8
Looking east in this view. BWCA Campsite 495 is on that point, just right of center.

Return to paddling on: BINGSHICK LAKE or resume hiking the: KEKEKABIC TRAIL
