This is probably the best of the two campsites on Bingshick Lake. The Kekekabic Trail comes close to this campsite, but it doesn't run right through this camp like it does the other one on the lake (BWCA Campsite 494). This campsite also has better shade since more trees survived the fire at this campsite than the other one. Good canoe landing and nice views of the lake. There are five tent pads, but a couple of them are rather rough and seem to be used seldomly. All of the tent pads are fairly small. The latrine is on the otherside of the Kekekabic Trail from the campsite. It's placed here so hikers along the trail don't have to come into the camp to use it. So it's basically a shared bathroom. This campsite is available to both canoeists and hikers. There is good fishing for stocked brook trout in Bingshick Lake.
Landing area is plenty decent.
The fireplace is on an area of ground elevated above the lake. There are enough trees left around this campsite to offer up some shade. Good views of the lake.
Another look at the fire grate.
Tent pad that doesn't get a lot of tents on it.
Small and rough tent pad.
One of the better tent pads at this campsite.
Another not-so-bad tent pad.
Still another tent pad.
This old veteran of the forest is located on the otherside of the Kekekabic Trail from the campsite. Do your business quickly because if a hiker happens to come along the trail, you are somewhat exposed here.
Campsite has a great view of Bingshick Lake. This is looking south/southwest.
