Hard not to get your feet wet landing at this campsite if you're solo (not impossible). The water is shallow, but the rocks create a sort of ledge that you have step up onto.
You can see where one of the tent pads is. This tent spot is only good for a small tent. There are several other spots back away from the cooking area that are larger.
One of the larger places to setup a tent at this campsite.
Looking straight south at the south shoreline of Long Island Lake. The mouth of the Long Island River is just out of this view to the right.
This campsite is located on the point just to the northeast of the mouth of the Long Island River. The only negative with the site is the canoe landing isn't the hottest. Looking toward the east. For some perspective, that far distant shoreline is almost exactly one mile away and that nearest point just to right of center is about 800 feet from this position.
This nearly full moon (on June 16, 2019) was known as the "Strawberry Moon" when it was full on June 17. View is east.
