This campsite has a reasonably good landing, albeit a bit rocky. The kitchen is well placed, offering up good views of the lake. Some trees provide some shade and wind protection for those sitting around the fire grate. Some shoreline access for fishing. There are two tents, both seemed OK. Latrine is an older model and it is reachable along a good trail.

This abandoned campsite (as of 2024) is on the island just to the east of the Mud Lake portage. You can see that it is heavily overgrown. The campsite stopped being used because of tree damage caused by recent windstorms. This campsite also doesn't have a particularly good spot to land a canoe.
