BWCA Portage: Reflection Lake to Sedative Lake

Portaging from Reflection Lake

Your following the fairly good trail along the creek up to Sedative Lake.

This is the pretty little creek your standing next too that flows out of Sedative Lake; Sedative Creek. The creek is shallow enough for you to walk in, with a rocky bottom until it flows into the "grotto" about 200 feet downstream from the Sedative Lake beaver dam. At that point, the creek flows through a peat bog all the way to Reflection Lake. The creek is fairly walkable and can be followed all the way to Sedative Lake from the grotto. It has a hard bottom with a couple areas with mildly tricky footing where the creek passes over some boulders.

Your view while standing in the creek just below the beaver dam over which the creek flows from Sedative Lake. Beaver dam is huge, maybe four to five feet high.

Now that you've made it over the portage, visit: SEDATIVE LAKE
