Campsite on Sunhigh Lake and surrounding area

Campsite on Sunhigh Lake (#842)

Very minimalist campsite. Seems like it still hasn't recovered from the damage it sustained during the July 4th, 1999 windstorm.

Sunhigh Lake Campsite 1
It's a bit rocky. The landing is somewhat overgrown. This campsite doesn't see a lot of use given the difficulty of reaching Sunhigh Lake.

This campsite has two tent pads, but they are overgrown. Bring a good air mattress. Very basic campsite, but you do get the entire lake to yourselves.

Sunhigh Lake Campsite 2
As simple as it gets.

View of the lake from near the fire pit.

Sunhigh Lake Campsite 4
This is what's known as roughing it.

Sunhigh Lake Campsite 5
Here is the other obvious tent pad.

Sunhigh Lake Campsite 6
As minimalist as this campsite is, this baby still makes it official as far as the U.S. Forest Service is concerned. In the BWCA, a campsite needs one of these latrines and a fire grate to be "legal"..

Looking toward the right (west) from the campsite.
