This "mansion" on Missing Link Lake is probably the lakes best campsite. The canoe landing is good too and has room for probably three boats.
The area around the fire pit. This campsite is wide open with nice views of the majority of the lake. Because the campsite is popular, many branches for hanging a food pack have been eliminated.
You can step up onto the rock ledge here.
From the elevated rock ledge you get excellent views of the entire north part of Missing Link Lake.
Exploring this campsite. This is probably the most desirable campsite on Missing Link Lake.
There is enough tent space for a small army (remember the maximum legal number of campers at any one site in the BWCA is nine).
Missing Link Lake looking toward the northeast bay in the evening. Note that there is an unmarked portage (not shown on most BWCA maps) to Mavis Lake in that bay. The Minnesota DNR uses that trail to stock Mavis Lake with stream trout.
