This campsite is in the quiet north arm of Lake Four not far from the Fire Lake portages. Much less canoe traffic in this part of the Lake Four. The site has a wide, flat rock outcropping that serves as a boat landing. There are four or five tent pads. The fire grate is at the top of the rock surface that extends inland from the lakeshore. The log furniture was in mediocre shape at time of last visit.
Land your boat along this slab rock.
As of 2023, the log furniture was a little beat up.
Fire pit is well situated with a grand view of Lake Four. This campsite is a bit off the beaten path, so should be relatively view groups passing by this area compared to the rest of busy Lake Four.
There are many good tent pads at this campsite. In fact some are so good that the local moose has been hanging out here (note the moose droppings to left side of tent pad).
Another tent pad.
How about another...
Tent pad?.
And a fifth tent spot to setup a shelter.
Drop your kids off at this old style pool (aka latrine).
Looking southwest from the campsite. A small island is visible to the right in the distance.
