Not a large campsite, but nice enough. Has only one medium and one small tent pad and both have some rocks and roots embedded in them. If you are like many folks who prefer to be based on an island, this is the one on Kawishiwi Lake. The site is also located off the main thoroughfare, so it doesn't have a lot of folks paddling by it. Fire pit is close to the water and has great views of the surrounding area. Good fishing right off shore from this campsite.
Canoe landing has a small step up. Water is not deep, but getting out of the boat may require some wet feet. This view is to the southeast.
Kitchen area is in decent shape. Channel visible between the island and mainland is visible to the left.
One of the tent pads. Seems to be just two at this campsite. Campsite is relatively small overall.
The other tent pad. Could squeeze a four person tent into this spot.
Clouds.
Rain.
Hail...
A number of butterflies (think this is a yellow tailed swallow) were stunned by the small hailstones. Some had their wings torn up. This one made a water landing.
