A fine landing is provided for this campsite. This campsite is just down the shoreline from the 122 rod South Kawishiwi River portage. Therefore, there may be some traffic coming and going.
A roomy area around the fire grate. A few large boulders make it easy to set gear on. This area probably gets enough breeze to keep the majority of the bugs at bay.
Campsite is more secluded than the one directly across the channel (and very nearby). Traffic heading to the portage just down the shoreline will pass very near this campsite. Campsite is somewhat protected from the wind. Choose this site if the wind is howling as opposed to the one on the point across the channel. Plenty of space for even large groups here.
One of the campsites tent pads. This campsite is not as large as the campsite on the otherside of the channel, but it can still hold a full crew (9 people).
This tent site space is back in the woods a bit.
There are three obvious spots to place tents at this campsite. The campsite doesn't initially appear large when you first canoe up to it, but it is sort of spread out into the forest.
View south towards the main lake. The campsite across the channel is easily visible to the left of your view.
