The only thing that could make this portage landing easier, is if it was made of sand. This portage is only 5 rods. Note that just to your left, out of view, is the mouth of the small creek that brings the waters of Adventure Lake into Cattyman Lake. If water levels are normal, you can just line/push the loaded canoe down this little creek and avoid this portage altogether.
A simple walk of about 5 rods on a wide and well used portage. You can skip the portage altogether if there is a bit of water in the little creek that connects Cattyman Lake to Adventure Lake. Very flat canoe landings on both ends of the portage.
