Kawishiwi River Portage: Malberg Lake to River Lake
Portage from Malberg Lake to River Lake. This portage is 62 rods long. It is very flat and open. At about the halfway point of the portage, you must wade through a swamp for about 5 to 10 rods. The water through here is knee deep. The landings on both ends of the portage are easy on paddlers and canoes.

Portage from River Lake into: Fishdance Lake. You can also paddle into Amber Lake and bushwhack into Bow Lake. You can also paddle into Record Creek which is in the Fungus Lake Primitive Management Area.
