This is the interesection where the "loop" part of the Powwow Trail connects to the "stick" part of the trail that leads back to the trailhead.

At this location, the old eastern loop of the Powwow Trail connected to the western loop (where this sign is) of the Powwow Trail. The western loop has been restored from the damage it sustained as a result of the 2011 Pagami Creek Fire, but as of 2025, the eastern loop is still unmaintained. The eastern and western loops shared the same path from this point back to the BWCA Entry Point 86 trailhead. The eastern loop was nearly the same mileage as the western loop.
