The landing is on the east side of the campsite. The campsite is located in the shallow north end of Upper Pauness Lake. There are some rocks at the landing, but they shouldn't impede loading/unloading of canoe too much.

Fire pit has good wind protection and offers views to the south and to the east (as in this view).
There are many good tent pads at this campsite.
The campsite looks small from the lake, but it is actually quite large. It extends back into the woods. Some of the tent pads are hidden in the forest. The kitchen is well situated for nice viewing and wind protection and shade. The landing is a little sketchy, but manageable. Might have some bug issues in the summer.
Another really good place to pop up a tent.

The latrine is on the east side of the campsite up a moderate include. There is not much of a view, even though the dais is raised.
