The canoe landing is from shallow water, but the shoreline has these big boulders. Lift the canoe up onto the flat ground above the rocks.
Fire pit is right next to the canoe landing.
View of the lake from the gallery.
When you pull up to this site, you'll find the landing slightly challenging. This campsite seemed a little less utilized than other campsites explored on Sawbill Lake. There are two tent pads on dirt/grass and maybe one more on bare rock. Fire pit is nicely positioned with good visiblility of the lake. This campsite is tucked back in the north end of this bay so wind shouldn't be an issue. Expect to see some beavers swimming around since there is a creek flowing into the back of the bay only a few hundred feet from the campsite. Latrine is of the modern design.
If you have a good sleeping pad, this area is flat. It is bare rock.
Small tent pad that is near the fire pit.
This tent pad is a bit overgrown. May be a reason its not used. Seemed level to the eye, but maybe not...
This technological wonder is reachable on a flat trail.
Looking generally north toward the mouth of the unnamed creek that flows in near the campsite. There was a beaver swimming around on last visit to this site.
View south. Limited shore fishing from this campsite because of the shallow water and aquatic vegetation.
