This campsite is located between two lakes along the short portage between Rat Lake and Rose Lake. There are three tent pads at this campsite, none of them seemed too inviting. The fire grate is set out in a clearing with minimal shade. Recent blowdowns knocked out some of the trees. The canoe landing isn't too bad, but it is a bit tight. The campsite is directly connected to the 3-rod portage between Rat Lake and Rose Lake. There is a little set of rapids along the portage. The portage provides some shoreline access to residents of this campsite. If approaching this campsite from Rat Lake, just use the portage landing to access the campsite.

There wasn't any log furniture at the time of this visit. Limited shade. Limited view of Rose Lake from the area around the fire grate. Rat Lake isn't visible from this location.
