Probably considered the least desirable campsite on Larch Lake. This campsite is rather compact and squished into an area sandwiched between the lake and a steep rock face behind it to the east. The boat landing is small and is formed by a platform of boulders. The fire grate has a good view of the lake, but limited access to the water because it sits on top of a steeply sloped table rock. There are two small, but decent tent pads. Latrine is one of the newer models. The campsite is located in an area that was affected by the 2007 Ham Lake Fire.
This canoe landing is at least a 9 out of 10.
Assortment of rock and log furnishings. Good protection from the wind.
Fire pit position has nice views of the lake without being too exposed. The kitchen is rather small.
Another view of the campfire sitting area with back to the lake.
View you would have it seated on the log by the campire.
There are two tent pads. Both are OK, but neither are very big.
The other tent pad.
The green throne for the lord of the woods.
Table rock between the lake and campfire grate. Watch your footing so you don't step into those crevasses.
View to the west. BWCA Campsite 2004 is on the left end of that island that is to the right of the center of your view.
Looking towards the north. This is in the direction of the Clove Lake portage landing, which would be near the center of this view in the far distance.
