Most of the tent pads have rock issues, but if you just have one or two tents you should be able to find a reasonably good spot. The firepit is a little sparse. Good views to the east all the way down Homer Lake. Canoe landing is in a tiny inlet on a small slab rock. This is the only campsite on Homer Lake that is within the BWCA. Therefore, you need a permit to camp here. This is the most rustic of the three campsites on the lake.
Close up view of the canoe landing at this campsite. It's a small rock platform. The landing is fairly close to the firepit.
Firepit area. Had limited seating options at time of last visit. Seems to be a fairly heavily used campsite.
Tent pad with lots of rocks to make it a very uncomfortable choice.
A better choice.
This is probably the best tent pad at this site. It's tucked back in the trees.
This tent pad isn't bad, unless it rains. Has a bit of a slope. You can see towards the center left where the water pools. Got a few roots too.
This is a rock shelf that is back in the woods somewhat near the latrine. You could set up a tent here, if you have a well cushioned sleeping pad.
The place for doing your thing.
Bunchberry plant. They are fully in bloom in June and July and you'll see them everywhere.
The firepit as seen from the back of the camp. This is facing toward the east.
