This campsite is somewhat petite with only a single obvious tent pad. The fire pit is somewhat shielded from the lake, so not a lot of views from the kitchen window. There is good access to the shoreline though. The boat landing is about average or maybe slightly better for BWCA campsites.
The canoe landing consists of clear water lapping over a bed of small rocks and pebbles in shallow water.
The fire pit. Fairly well shaded. Limited lake views from this position.
Another view of the fire pit, this time looking toward the lake.
There is one good tent pad right near the fire. Another potential tent location is just back in the woods. A few other spots around the campsite could also be recruited as tents pads in a pinch.
Hike up the hill to find this tranquil sitting area in the forest.
Looking west down the south arm of East Bearskin Lake.
Some grass-leaved goldenrod grow down near the lakeshore.
Also right along the shoreline of this campsite is some parasol-whitetop in full bloom during August.
Some type of 'shroom poking up from the pine needles.
Back in the shady under the forest canopy can be found several patches of blue-bead lillies.
Some tiny species of grayess-white mushrooms.
Looking to the east from the campsite. The portage to Alder Lake is just around the bend.
Peering directly across the lake at the south shoreline.
