This campsite is usable by both canoeists and hikers. The Daniels Lake Trail runs through the campsite. It is not a heavily used trail, but don't be surprised if you get visitors if you are a paddler. Campsite has at least three tent pads. The kitchen area is well built. Good views of the lake from near the fire grate. The canoe landing is awesome. Nice views of the lake with good shoreline access.
You'll be hard pressed to find campsite landings much better than this one.
View toward the southwest. This campsite has good access to a lot of shoreline.
Looking northeast in this photo.
Descent fire grate with good views of the lake. One big heavy duty couch log and a rough table rock.
Probably the best of the bunch at this campsite.
The Daniels Lake Trail runs right through this campsite. Thus this campsite can be used by either hikers or paddlers. If you follow this trail north (in the direction you are looking here, you will eventually come to the intersection with the Border Route Trail. At that intersection the Border Route Trail is also shared by the Long Portage of 660 rods that connects Rose Lake and Rove Lake.
Another tent pad. It has root issues.
Looking south down the Daniels Lake Trail. If you follow this to the trailhead, you will come out near Clearwater Lake Lodge.
Everyones favorite campsite photo.
Another view of the kitchen looking in the direction of Daniels Lake.
