Perhaps the best campsite on Crocodile Lake, depending on your taste for campsites. Canoe landing is much better than average for the BWCA. The fire grate is in a nice open area in the woods. Views of the lake from around the fire are limited. There are at least three decent tent pads. Not a lot of easy shore access. Not shown in video, but there is a nice rock that you can reach from shore by following a short trail through the woods.
Excellent canoe landing.
The fireplace is elevated above the lake and set back in the forest. Lots of space for spreading out gear for a good sized group.
Another look at the kitchen facing the lake.
Wide view of the kitchen.
An extra counter.
All the tent pads at this campsite looked comfortable enough.
The largest of the three tent pads.
And another tent pad.
A relatively new latrine courtest of the U.S. Forest Service.
