The landing is on a rock slab. Fire grate has a great view of the lake and also has reasonable protection from wind and sun. The campsite has fairly good shoreline access. There are at least five tent pads, but a couple of them are either small or rather uncomfortable looking. This campsite can support a large group though. The campsite is connected to a trail (used to be an old road) that connects to the Caribou Lake to Clearwater Lake portage. This trail connects all three of the campsites in this area. So don't be surprised if you get some unexpected visitors. The latrine was new as of 2024, but has the issue of being visible from the trail mentioned above.
Relatively good landing. Just a little lift up onto this rock shelf.
The seating around the fire grate was a bit sparse (2024).
Fine lake views.
Small tent pad along a rock ledge next to the lake.
Tiny tent pad at the base of this old tree.
The trail can be used for tent pads and it has a huge amount of space. However, someone might walk in on you.
Another tent pad near the lake.
The U.S. Forest Service recently delivered this bum catcher.
Expansive view to the east.
Looking straight across the lake. The portage to Deer Lake is to the right of center.
