Campsite last visited on: May 16, 2021
Proceed up the stairway from the lake and check out this campsite. The landing has some huge boulders to climb over at the base of the staircase. Fire grate is well back in the woods and was rather sparsely appointed at time of last visit. Three tent pads. Fine views of the south end of Alton Lake.
This campsite has this rather unique stairway that leads right down to the waterline. Doesn't make for the easiest place to get in and out of a canoe, but it looks cool.

Once at the top of the staircase, you'll find a wide open area in the forest where the campsite is situated.
