A nearly beach-like landing zone at this campsite.
Southern view.
Seems like a good place for the fire pit. Some reasonable tree protection, yet still offering a good view of the lake. Log furniture was in good condition still.
There are two tent pads right next to each other. This is the better one.
This campsite stretches along the lake, it doesn't reach far back into the woods. There are two decent tent pads, a nice fire pit and a fine canoe landing. Good shoreline access. The views are mostly to the south and west/northwest.
The lower tent pad (just to the left of the upper tent pad.
Abandoned wasp nest on a rotted log.
Partial view of the fire pit while looking off to the northwest.
Older model from the U.S. Forest Service's inventory.
View to the northwest from the campsite. Near the middle of your view is the marshy area found at the north end of Upper Pauness Lake.
